August 6th – Review Preliminary General Fund Budget
The City Council will review the first “draft” of 2013 General Fund Budget. The Council will be provided with proposed revenues and expenditures for 2013.
August 20th – Review Preliminary General Fund Budget
September 4th – Certify Preliminary Tax Levy
The City Council sets a preliminary taxy levy, that can be lowered, but not raised. This preliminary tax levy is used by Carver County to create a proposed 2013 Property Tax Statement for City of Carver residents.
October 1st – Review Utility Rate Study
City staff will present the City Council with an analyis of the utility/enterprise funds, which will be used to determine rates for 2013.
October 15th – Review Enterprise Fund Budgets
The City Council will review the first “draft” of 2013 Enterprise Fund Budgets. The Council will be provided with proposed revenues and expenditures for 2013.
November 19th – Review All Budget Information
December 3rd – Hold Truth in Taxation Public Hearing
Propeerty owerns will be mailed a notice to attend a public hearing to discuss their proposed 2013 property taxes and the City’s 2013 Budget.
December 17th – Final Budget and Tax Levy Adopted
The City Council certifies the 2013 property tax levy and adopts the 2013 Budget.
