Cindy Monroe – City Council Member

Cindy Monroe was first elected to the Carver City Council as a councilmember in 1992, re-elected in 1996, appointed mayor in Oct. 1997, elected mayor in 1998, chose not to run for office in 2000, and was elected as a councilmember in 2002, 2006, 2010, and 2014.  Her other past community service includes: Board Member of the Carver County Community Development Agency from 2007 to 2014; Carver Planning Commissioner; Carver Heritage Preservation Commissioner; and East Union Elementary School Site Council Volunteer.  She also coached fast pitch softball for the CCYBSA for many years when her daughters were playing.

Ms. Monroe has lived in Carver since August of 1990.  Her education includes a B.A. in Political Science from St. Olaf College.  Most of her work experience has been as an office manager and bookkeeper for small businesses. She has been employed full time at Allan Mechanical, Inc. since 1998.

Ms. Monroe’s other interests include reading, playing cards, visiting with friends and family, and cheering on the Minnesota Twins.
