Kristy Mock has been a resident of Carver for over 3 three years, but has spent more than a decade involved in the community. Kristy worked as the former Parks & Recreation Supervisor for the City of Carver beginning in 2007, is a current member of the Carver Lions Club, and serves as a volunteer for Carver Steamboat Days. Previously, she worked for the City of Victoria and the City of Chanhassen, in Community Development and Parks & Recreation. Her local government experience spans 15 years, and has included being the staff liaison to Carver groups such as the Parks Commission and the Carver on the Minnesota. Politics has been a part of her life starting at age 6, when watching the Carter vs. Reagan debates with her father took precedence over cartoons.
Kristy enjoys anything outdoors, including gardening and landscaping, hiking (especially in the mountains), listening to vinyl records, farmer’s markets, an addiction to the shows “Parts Unknown” with Anthony Bourdain and “MasterChef” with Gordon Ramsay, and watching any movie with Jimmy Stewart or Cary Grant. Sports and athletics are a big part of her life, and she can boast a State Softball Championship win in 2016.
