Carver County might help pay for your RainGarden!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Carver County will pay 75% of the cost for the construction of a new RainGarden up to $5,000 under their Cost Share program. (A professionally installed RainGarden usually ranges from $2,500 – $3,500)
WHY WOULD I WANT A RAINGARDEN?
RainGardens help reduce stormwater runoff which carries pollutants into our rivers, lakes, and streams. Pollution from stormwater runoff is a serious problem that is caused from impervious surfaces that prevent water from soaking into the ground. The water is forced to travel over pavement picking up pollutants on its way to a watershed. RainGardens allow this stormwater to drain directly into the ground without having to travel over miles of paved surface.
