Resident’s 2019 Budget Guide

Thank you for taking the time to visit the 2019 Resident’s Budget Guide!  The discussion of the annual budget is one of the most important decision-making processes of the year for the City Council.  The allocation of resources for City services and projects in areas like streets, inspections, parks, law enforcement, fire protection, and planning are reviewed and analyzed based on need, priority, and the overall impact to local property taxes paid by businesses and residents.  Please visit this page often, as documents will be updated as the budget process moves forward.

Over the last week, property owners in the City of Carver received a 2019 Truth in Taxation notice from Carver County. The notice primarily provides information on proposed 2018 property taxes for Carver County, District 112, and the City of Carver.

The City Council will be holding a meeting on Monday, December 3 to get your input on the City of Carver’s portion of the proposed 2019 property taxes. The meeting will be held at 7 pm in the City Council Chambers at 109 Main St. E.  If you’re unable to attend the meeting, please reach out to Brent Mareck (City Manager) by e-mail at bmareck@cityofcarver.com or by phone at (952) 448-8737 to share your thoughts on the proposed 2019 budget and property taxes.
