Copper Hills is an approved mixed-use development generally located west of CSAH 11 at the intersection of CSAH 11 and Ironwood Drive. The project will be constructed in multiple phases, generally as follows:
- Carver Station (Park and Ride). Carver Station opened in January 2015 with service to downtown Minneapolis and the University of Minnesota. For more information, see the following links: Park and Ride and Transit Schedules.
- Single-Family Homes. Mattamy Homes is constructing 47 single-family homes as a part of the original Copper Hills plat. The model home is open. In 2016, Mattamy Homes opened Copper Hills 2nd Addition, which will provide for an additional 63 single-family homes located to the west of Copper Hills. - Apartments. Apartments are planned for the large outlot (Outlot B) in the southeast corner of the final plat. A portion of this area was constructed as Carver Crossing which is a 68-unit apartment building that opened in 2016. No specific plans for the remainder of the site have yet been approved, and will need to be submitted for review and approval by the City prior to construction. - Olsen Park. A neighborhood park opened in 2016. The park is located on the west side of Hartwell Drive south of the intersection of Hartwell Drive with Copper Hills Drive.
