Laurie Sayre is a lifelong resident of Carver County. She and her husband, Chad, chose the City of Carver to start and raise a family. They have two daughters that attend middle school and high school in the local school district. Plus a dog, the adored golden retriever named Trigger; who is occasionally seen visiting the local libraries as an active volunteer for a child literacy program.
Laurie was appointed to the Planning Commission, where she served from 2016 to 2018. She was elected to the Carver City Council in 2018.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychological Sciences from the University of Minnesota, Laurie has spent her career working in a number of project management and business analyst roles. She currently works as a business analyst at Optum, a UnitedHealth Group company in Minnesota.
Laurie's other interests include reading, scrapbooking, visiting with friends and family, and cheering her daughters on in softball and lacrosse.
