A few minutes a month helps protect lakes and rivers when you join Minnesota's Adopt a Drain program. Storm drains offer direct paths for pollutants washing off our yards to lakes and rivers. Even natural debris, like leaves and grass clippings, can cause algae in lakes and rivers due to high nutrient levels.
