Plans include 66 residential units, a wetland trail and sidewalk system, and extensions of City infrastructure including an extension of Monroe Drive.
American Rescue Plan Act Fund: The City Council adopted a resolution accepting American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. The ARPA, in part, provides aid to cities as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The City is expecting to receive $533,952 in ARPA funding in two installments in 2021 and 2022. Over the course of several months, staff reviewed eligible uses of ARPA funds in connection with the City’s Long-Term Financial Plan. Connected with the funding, the City Council adopted an intended use budget for ARPA funds for a variety of utility projects (water, sanitary sewer, etc.). In addition, ARPA funds are intended to be used for pagers and radios for the Fire Department.
