Construction begins the week of May 9
Construction for the 2022 Street Maintenance Project will begin the week of May 9. Improvements include pavement rehabilitations in the Eagle Ridge neighborhood as shown in the map below. In an effort to prepare residents for construction, below are a few details on what to expect:
Reclamation - Debbie Lane, Debbie Circle, Debbie Court, Griffin Street, and Griffin Circle
Grind existing pavement and gravel base into a new uniform base material. Grade and compact, then pave new layer of asphalt.
Mill and Overlay - Skyview Lane
Remove the top layer of asphalt (milling). Pour, level, and bind new layer of asphalt (overlay).
Schedule
Construction will begin the week of May 9 and is expected to be completed by mid-June.
What to Expect During Construction
Contractors typically work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays. During working days, there will be noise, mud, dirt piles, dust, and other construction-related activities. While it is not possible to mitigate all of these issues, the contractor will try to limit these disturbances as much as possible, including spraying the road to control dust and filling in and grading muddy areas.
Access Impacts
Minor impacts to access will occur throughout the project, but roadway and driveway access will be maintained to residents throughout construction. Please note that if school bus routes are impacted by construction, the bus company will be reaching out to homeowners.
Temporary Mailboxes
Please note that residents within the reclamation project area (see map) will have temporary mail boxes installed during construction. This will be located at the intersection of Mount Hope Road and Debbie Lane.
